WEEKLY VIDEO EMAILED TO PARENTS

SUBSCRIBE HERE! We're excited to share with you a new weekly curriculum that you can use in your home at a time during the week that works for your schedule. We know that most parents are hanging on by threads and so we didn't want to add something that would be another "thing" to do. It can be as simple as pressing play or if you have the energy there's a parent guide to get a little more into the lesson. Every Sunday morning, we'll send out an email with a short video and prayer from a Parkside teacher for our kids to watch as well as a link to that week's curriculum video and corresponding PDF. There are three curriculum videos each week: Preschool, Elementary (K-3), and Preteen (4-5). They are about 10-15 minutes long. Here's an introduction to all this from [...]

APRIL 12 – SUNDAY SCHOOL IN YOUR HOME

LET JESUS ROLL AWAY THE STONE OF DEATH We've arrived! It's Easter! The day Jesus rose from death to life! Keys for this lesson: Easter Sunday is the day we remember the stone being rolled away from the tomb where Jesus was buried! There are many obstacles that stand in the way for us to receive eternal life but Jesus overcame them all through his death and resurrection. The stone of DEATH was rolled away so we could have ETERNAL LIFE! Preparing in Prayer & Thought: Please read through the lesson first so you are comfortable with it and can tailor it to your children. With the ongoing uncertainty of the pandemic and the lives that have been lost many are afraid of becoming sick and dying.  Whole families are separated because of the need to protect [...]

APRIL 5 – SUNDAY SCHOOL IN YOUR HOME

LET JESUS ROLL AWAY THE STONE OF SILENCE As we count down the weeks to Easter, we continue to look at many of the stones Jesus’ life, death and resurrection roll away in our life – clearing a path for us to come back to God and be with Him forever! For the week of April 5th we’re going to reflect on the stone (barrier) of silence. Jesus says He will roll away the stone of self if we put Him first. Keys for this lesson: Palm Sunday is the day we remember when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey’s colt in fulfillment of Zechariah’s prophecy (Zechariah 9:9) Jesus didn’t seek earthly power or use earthly ways (politics) to establish His kingdom - His Kingdom is not of this world! Jesus found his joy, not in the [...]

You can watch Paige M.'s re-enactment of the Bible stories here: For the week of March 29th we’re going to reflect on the stone (barrier) of self. Jesus says He will roll away the stone of self if we put Him first. Keys for this lesson: Jesus said that where our treasure is, there our heart will be also. Child/Baby Dedication

Child Dedication “I will take him and present him before the Lord.” 1 SAMUEL 1:22 Thank you for your interest in dedicating your child to God! Why dedicate a child to God? It was a common practice in Scripture: We read in Scripture where it shares that the prophets Samuel and John the Baptist, as well as Jesus, were all dedicated to God as children in the Jewish place of worship. Samuel’s mother, Hannah, declared, “I will take him and present him before the Lord.” (1 Samuel 1:22). Jesus “took the children in his arms, put his hands on them, and blessed them.” (Mark 10:16). It benefits the parents: A child dedication is also a parent dedication. Parents publicly declare their intention to raise their child “in the training and instruction [...]
