Purpose: to partner with God in discipling emerging church leaders through development of character, knowledge and skill.


  • Weekly Bible College Class (TBD): Example: Wednesday’s 6-9pm
  • Weekly Abide & Character Lessons: Example:  Friday’s at 7:00am
  • Mentor Meeting: Subject to mentor’s availability.
  • Devo’s, Exercise and Homework: On your own time/schedule

Mentoring: Pre-approved mentor (i.e. pastor, Elder, mature Christian leader) of the same gender.

Bible College Classes: Participate in a 12 week video lecture mixed with class discussion. Reading and homework assignments (3 hours/week extra) required for credit students. Credit students must comply with academic and student poli Fall 2019 Course: Survey of Christian Beliefs. Spring 2020 Course: Understanding the Bible.

Parkside Leadership Classes: Before and after the 12 weeks of a Bible college class, interns will meet with Parkside pastors for orientation, debriefing, extra topics of study, and some fun outings.

Abide & Character Lessons: Learn how to hear the voice of God and begin identifying and correcting character weaknesses. About 1 hour of reading, 1 hour discussion/debrief/prayer time, and then 1 hour per day of homework (in place of regular devotions). *Abide and Character lessons begin in September only.

Cost: Audit fees go to cover outings, materials, honorariums. Credit students go to cover the same as audit fees plus cost of tuition/marking from Pacific Life Bible College.

Missions Trip: Location, dates (7-10 days) and cost TBD. Interns will be expected to work and save alongside fundraisers to pay their way. Examples: Costa Rica Kids, Dream Center LA, Port Alberni VBS, etc.

Room & Board: We might look into receiving students from outside Mission and billet them out with Parkside host families. If the program warrants enough interest, there may be interest in renting an Intern house.

Admission Requirements: Interns enrolled for credit must meet Pacific Life Bible College’s admission requirements (http://pacificlife.edu/admissions/admission-requirements/). Interns enrolled for auditing must meet Parkside’s Volunteer Requirements for “Public Servants” (see table at http://www.parksidechurch.ca/volunteer/). Both credit and audit interns must be in agreement with Foursquare Canada’s Statement of Faith (https://www.foursquare.ca/what-we-believe.html).
